This tender concerns the development of rural solar energy infrastructure in central Kenya. The project aims to expand electricity access to remote communities currently without grid connection. It includes the installation of solar-powered microgrids and public charging stations.
The selected contractor will be responsible for the complete design, procurement, and installation of solar systems. Tasks also include training local technicians and implementing a sustainable energy management model tailored to community needs.
This initiative is part of PIDG’s broader commitment to clean energy solutions across Sub-Saharan Africa, with funding from both public and private development partners.
