Debt Solutions

Providing long-term commercial debt capital solutions to sustainable and impactful infrastructure projects in Africa and Asia.

RaxioKsses Solar
We raise, provide and deploy the stable, long-term commercial debt that projects need but private and public capital markets often struggle to provide – or provide in the right maturities, with the right risk profile. In doing so with tailormade solutions, we increase the viability and attractiveness of projects, helping them progress towards completion. Our debt fund is the Emerging Africa & Asia Infrastructure Fund (EAAIF). EAAIF is managed by Ninety One’.
EAAIF provides senior, subordinated, mezzanine, and Islamic financing with terms of up to 20 years, supporting mainly greenfield and selectively brownfield infrastructure across Africa and Asia, primarily in hard currency.
The typical debt amount available from EAAIF for any single transaction is USD 10m – USD 65m (or EUR equivalent). Loans offered are up to 15 years and where required the tenor can be up to 20 years.

Working together

For over 20 years, we have leveraged our convening power and track record to attract private investors to infrastructure projects in fast-growing markets. As a group, we overcome any financial, technical or environmental challenges and make impactful projects investment-ready, creating bankable infrastructure opportunities.

Our debt financing capabilities complement our other solutions, i.e., guarantees, project development, and technical assistance, significantly advancing the number of transformative projects that can be delivered each year.

Backed by prominent financial institutions, and managed by Ninety One, a specialist emerging markets focussed global asset manager, EAAIF's diversified investment portfolio and distinct approach to investing deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns. Our disciplined approach enables us to take on risk and protect investment whilst maintaining a minimal default rate.

The Fund has a A2 – Stable long term foreign issuer rating by Moody’s.

The projects we support unlock significant, measurable and sustainable socio-economic impact while prioritising health, safety, gender, diversity and ESG performance.
