Climate and nature are at the heart of our PIDG Strategy 2030.
We recognise that it is through our investment approach that we can deliver the greatest impact.
To this end, we apply a deliberate climate and nature lens to all our investments, focusing on managing climate and nature risks, and ensuring that potential opportunities are maximised.
We are committed not only to supporting climate mitigation – through investments in renewable energy, electric vehicles, and alternative clean fuels – but also to advancing climate adaptation and resilience by ensuring our own investments are climate-resilient and supporting projects that strengthen the resilience of others.
We follow stringent reporting standards – TNFD, IFRS S1 / S2, TCFD and can stand behind our numbers – transparency is key.
To formalise and guide our work, we developed our Climate and Nature Approach which centres around three key pillars:
Adopting this approach enables us to galvanise efforts across the group to address the urgency of the climate and nature crises whilst ensuring long term sustainable development impact, and the financial sustainability of our projects.
But we cannot succeed alone. Addressing the climate and nature crises requires radical collaboration, across our industry and beyond. We are therefore publishing our Climate and Nature approach for others to draw from and build upon.
